Bud Light, Live Nation, MySpace, and Universal Music Group have joined forces for some kind of corporate-branded music behemoth; Bud Light Music First. The adventurous first-of-its-kind program feature a series of 50 concerts, happening across the 50 US states on August 1, dubbed ’50/50/1′. The shows are created with Live Nation Entertainment curating the acts, and will feature artists including Kendrick Lamar, Sublime with Rome, Alex Clare, The Flaming Lips, Emeli Sandé, Drive-By Truckers, Wavves, The Gaslight Anthem, The Mowgli’s, Minus the Bear, and many more to be announced soon.
“Music is such a unique platform because it brings people together, yet everyone interacts with it on a personal level,” said Rob McCarthy, vice president, Bud Light. “It’s not uncommon for fans to travel cross-country to see their favorite acts perform at summer music festivals, but we’re turning the traditional festival concept on its head by bringing the show to everyone.”
Myspace have joined the team to help build an interactive web presence for the promotion. The Bud Light Music First Myspace Page keeps fans updated with concert information, listen to 50/50/1 artists, and enter ticket giveaways. The program also dishes up a mobile app to score prizes such as headphones, ‘Live Nation Concert Cash’, Universal Music Group music downloads and concert tickets for the 50/50/1 events. Entries are made by submitting codes from special packages of Bud Light products.

Tickets for select concerts will go on sale today, Friday May 3rd. Remaining events will be announced soon. Tickets are available to purchase via Live Nation, or by entering and winning via the Music First mobile app.
